Reliability is usually not an issue while using the CellularOne EVDO network. We use it all the time when working inside of our customer networks. However, this week there have been a few disruptions.
CellularOne users have been reassured normal service will be resumed soon after a number of service disruptions to the company’s broadband wireless network, writes Alex Wright of the Royal Gazette
Michael Leverock, chief operating officer of CellularOne, told customers they were looking into the problem and hoped to have it resolved soon.
He said: “It has come to our attention that there have been intermittent incidents of service disruption on our data network which appears to be affecting certain areas of the island.
“The company is in the process of diligently working with its equipment vendor in an effort to isolate the irregularity with a view to remedying it as quickly as possible. During the interim, customers may experience some disruption or inconsistency in service which should be temporary.
“We thank our subscribers for their patience during this time and we do apologise for any inconvenience they may experience. We anticipate fewer disruptions as we progress with these curative works and we will keep the public informed of the situation.”
